The heat of the intake air is transferred to the refrigerant in the heat exchanger fins, at a low evaporation temperature. The refrigerant is drawn as a vapour by a compressor which raises it to a higher pressure and temperature and sends it to the condenser.In the condenser, the heat extracted in the evaporator and some of the energy absorbed by the compressor are released into the water. The refrigerant is depressurised in the thermostatic expansion valve and is then cooled.
